We are aware that there seems to be a lot of confusion regarding the “digital switchover” so we would like to help clear a few things up for viewers here in the Granada region of the UK.
Between 2009 & 2011 all of the UK’s TV transmitters are due for switchover to digital, after which the current analogue signal will be completely switched off.
From that point all televisions must be upgraded or converted to receive the digital channels, whether through aerial, by satellite, cable or broadband.
